Hautāmiro Teaching & Learning Resources

Available in English and Te Reo Māori

These free, bilingual resources have been developed to support learning through Hautāmiro, Mataaho Collective’s 2025 installation at Dunedin Public Art Gallery.

Designed for teachers, students, and curious minds of all ages, the materials explore Māori textile practices, pūrākau, and the creative process behind the work.

Each downloadable link includes artist context, hands-on making activities, cross-curricular links, and games to support deeper engagement with te ao Māori and contemporary art.

We invite you to download, share, and adapt these resources in your classrooms, homes, and communities.
